Q: What does being a part of TFT Task Force mean?

A: This means you’ll be helping to spread the word about The Fire Theft at a grass roots level. This entails distributing and posting promotional material (i.e.: stickers, flyers, posters) at concerts, skate shops, parks, cafés, laundromats, clothing stores, etc. It also requires spreading the word about the band online through message boards, chat forums, instant messenger, etc.

Q: How do I join?

A: When you register on the site, simply check the box at the bottom of your profile that says you’d like to join. Just make sure to fill out your profile carefully so we know what region you’ll be representing. Already registered? That’s okay! Just edit your profile by checking the Task Force box.

Q: What do I get in return?

A: You get to be a band member! Just kidding. But you may be able to get free admission to the shows you promote, as well as rewards for going above and beyond. The more active a Task Force member you are, the better chance you have of scoring some cool loot. Keep your eye out for contests and stuff, as well.

Q: How do I let you know what I’m doing to promote?

A: The best way to show your work is to take pictures of you in action: send a photo of the places in which you’ve put posters or flyers up, or a pic of you passing out promo stuff at a concert. For this reason, it may be a good idea to work with a friend.

Q: How do I get the promo stuff?

A: Once you’re an official member of TFT Task Force, you’ll receive emails every so often letting you know that promotion is needed in your area. Respond to these emails to let us know that you’re ready and willing and include an address where you can receive the promo stuff. We’ll get back to you and let you know when to expect the goods. Since materials are limited, not everyone who receives the email will receive promos. We will do our best to make sure every member in each region gets an opportunity.

Q: What if I’m already a member of the street team?

A: Check the box anyway. We’re making some changes, so we need your info in a different spot. Welcome back and keep up the good work!
